But on a serious note, who allows their kids to get so obsessive before they decide to do something about it?
 
I think this issue has less to do with video gaming and more to do with the psychological state of the worlds youths. I mean I love playing games and will gladly waist an entire weekend playing Halo Online or BC2 or any title that strikes my fancy. But i have had a feeling of wanting to commit physical, gratuitous violence against another human being who interrupts my game time. I occasionally feel that need when walking down the street or driving but never when interrupted from my game time.

Dude the only time ive gotten angry at someone interrupting me when playing games is when our garden service pitches up. They always rock up when im in the middle of a very fun session of MW2 and boy that cheeses me off. Cause its not as simple as open the gate. Oh no i have to go and get the dogs and get them inside the kitchen because they think the garden service workers and tools are toys.

But having said that im pretty sure in almost any part of life if you are busy enjoying yourself or buys concentrating or busy working hard and someone just comes and interrupts you then ill also be a bit pissed. But then again i dont get urges to murder my own father every day so maybe im not qualified to talk about those urges.

I just thought of this now, when i was 14 i couldn't wait to screw around with my friends, play games, play rugby and soccer, watching tv and daydreaming about Angelina Jolie. I mean that was the life for me.
 
This is the second incident I've heard this year, I think the other one was an Romanian kid. Killed his mum because of Counter Strike.
