I don't mind using something here either, up to the people. The main reason we wanted to get the people together last night was to agree on an engine etc, because me and Archie can't decide that on our own, then it's not much of a community decision.

Maybe we could add a poll to this thread just to choose between Unreal Engine & Unity ? Would help a lot to at least let us start off preparations etc.

Yeah wanted to do a poll but then the possibility of trolls coming to vote as high.

True, but It would be nice to just have the engine part of it decided so we can start doing learning a bit more about it.

Maybe we just each vote in a post and tally them up in the end.

After watching a few videos of Unity and UE, my vote goes to UE, the interface looks simple and the blueprint system is really helpful especially for us learners.

I vote UE4.
 
Source Forge has a built in forum, and other management tools for projects. Just create a project, pick a name, and everyone will start to fall in line.
 
Any objections to calling the game MyGaming Upstarts?

It's generic enough to fit with any direction the project goes, it's easy to remember and it allows me to create the project page.
(And it gives a nice branding abbreviation, M.G.U.)

Currently anyone can see it (as in you don't even need a sourceforge account), I'm trying to make it private, but haven't found the setting yet. Please don't share sensitive info yet, like your bank details, ID numbers, Blood Type or Nigerian Prince Status.

Yeah had issue about me taking someone else's nickname, but they gave it to me. Just make sure your nickname is in all small letters.
