Saints Row 2 Steam Resolution Change Failed?!

Everytime I try to change the resolution in the game from 1024x768 to 1280x960, it tells me "Graphics change failed". But all other graphics settings are able to change. Also, the game is only able to change to a higher resolution in "Windowed" mode.

Any suggestions please?????:(
