Samsung galaxy s3 issue

I have no idea what to name the heading but my gf has the Samsung Galaxy S3 and she catches a public transport home. Someone connected to her phone via bluetooth(even though it was not switched on) and transferred an mp3 from her phone without her knowledge. When she got off the bus she took her phone out only to see that the transfer of an mp3 had gone through successfully to someone via bluetooth. Is there some Discovery option that I or my gf do not know about?? :wtf:

eish never heard of this. Go the mybroadband, cell phone, android, galaxy s3 thread and ask there.

that sounds very odd cause your S3's bluetooth is set only to be discoverable to paired devices. thus only you can add other devices and they cannot see you. maybe check if the option "only visible to paired devices" is ticked. if it is untick it that way other phones cannot see your phone.

I dunno, don't have it I'll read up a bit and try and find the article on it, when I get a chance.

also go and check that NFC is disabled. its that function that they show in the adds where you touch the 2 phones together to transfer something like a picture etc. mine is permanently off as i dont use it that much and also it drains your battery.
