Does anyone know how this will work for us in SA? Will we even have access to Battle.net? Will the entire thing be opperated on a matchimaking system like Modern Warfare 2?

Just as a reminder, the beta will first start in the North America region along with Australia and New Zealand first. This will be followed by Asia and then Europe. It is currently known if the North America phase also includes countries in South and Central America.

I suspect there will be a matching making system for leagues, but still be like channels for adhoc play, or playing with friends etc

low latency service, basically it will be p2p with battle.net

anybody can access it, so basically if they say low latency and it works, who cares local or not.

Rts games are fine with p2p. You can't really have dedi servers for them.

Speaking about battle.net in general...low ping p2p like i said...as if you are playing it through LAN
