SEACOM cable trouble may only be resolved in the week beginning 17 October 2011

Everything except Youtube is running at normal speeds for me with no problems. Videos buffer at about 1kb/s. Is anyone else seeing this with Youtube?

I think my ISP account (Openweb Uncapped Lite) is on Seacom, but I can't see any issues... Bought and downloaded Metro 2033 from Steam today and had an average download speed of over 300KB/s (which is actually not too bad for during business hours)

Maybe you were downloading a locally cached copy of it? :O

Anyone here on Afrihost? I'd like to know how bad the downtime is for you guys (was considering Afrihost as ISP).

Mweb is handling it pretty well, but then again I haven't been on a lot the last few days.

I could test with a 1GB account I have with them? What would you like me to test?

I'm sure my openweb uncapped gold is on seacom because it takes ages to connect when I restart modem and it sooooooooo slow during business hours.... :/

I'm having trouble logging in to Steam on MWeb, as well as one or to connection issues with some websites.

I have not experienced any problems with Afrihost, my Steam is working fine etc.
