See ...Competitions works!

Look at how many people have joined the forum (and browsed the website) all thanks to the comps. I personally think comps must always run.

Now I know what you must be thinking (hell, that's gonna get expensive)...but I'm more looking into something like smaller prizes just to keep things active and fun.

Maybe stuff like err....gaming keyrings, figurines, accessories, magazines (or subscriptions) etc. Or even much smaller stuff like posters, t-shirts, caps, etc.

but that's just my 2c.
 
We will run comps for as long as we can get sponsors, and we will get sponsors for as long as there is enough traffic for companies to justify sponsoring us :D

So the more people visit, the better the chances are for permanently running comps.

I think it would be awesome to have constantly running competitions

We must maybe talk sometime...I had a PSP blog some time back (quit because my PSP was giving me problems) at www.pspsa.com ...anyway. The articles were more focused on opinions, updates, comparisons, etc...and not really news. Now these articles do really well on traffic sites such as N4G and gave me between 4000-20000 hits per week. (sometimes even 5000 per day)...
 
As Tinman suggested it is certainly on the cards to run continual competitions. As long as the site can show traffic and growth sponsors will join in the fun...and we will throw in a few goodies like an XBox 360 every now and then ;)

You guys are really putting a lot of effort into the site and it shows :) If I find something interesting online I'll be sure to forward.
 
yeh i can see alot of work has gone into the site and its great :D hope it doesnt go anytime soon :p
 
Yeah I agree hey... I love competitions, and it will sometimes be a deciding factor when it comes to joining or re-visiting a site. Luckily mygaming.co.za kix butt, I just found out about it through the competitions though.

I think most people found out that way....and through MyBB of course ;)
 
Comps are definitely a huge contributing factor, but as it draws more people and threads stay interesting and active this place will stay prosperous for a long time to come :).
 
Competitions are not always the main factor, good reviews, content and people all contribute to the success of a website. But I must say the competitions will only get better as the site progresses. :D
