Current success would be being able to buy things for my parents for the first time in a long while
Something I did quite diligently last year this time. Since then work has consumed my life.
To add to the topic: I'm continually investigating new programming languages and frameworks, seeing how I can fit it into my proprietary Handlr stack of technologies. Currently focusing on .NET, Java and Node.js. It's fun building the same library for all 3 languages - it makes you appreciate the strengths (and weaknesses) of each and makes you delve to the core of each language to find similarities between them. I'm planning on releasing assemblies for each of those tech stacks for developers world-wide to use in the coming months.
Constant research and reading on topics in my field. I am currently going crazy on colour grading techniques and work flows as well as implementing things called LUTs into my images. In a word, its amazing but has to be filmed with the right gear for optimum results so I invested in a new camera. This year so far I have produced some of my greatest work ever in my opinion.
All my previous research seems to have payed off as I see more and more that a few Hollywood productions have seen work done on my current setup!
Anywhere one can look at some of your work. I do not know anything of what you are saying - but it sounds so cool.

Very cool. Liked(Personally) the wedding videos and the surfing ones and physically liked and shared a few of them. I am not on Vimeo though.
Thanks alot! Really appreciate it!
Still trying to figure this whole self development out as well.
Was feeling very stagnant in life last year. Days became so monotonous of wake up, work, get home and maybe watch some series or play some CS and then bed. Rinse and repeat. Eventually got the courage 1 day to apply for a job here down in Cape Town and ended up moving down here (from Joburg) beginning of November. The change of scenery has definitely helped. I feel like I've gone out and done more things in the last few months than I did in the last few years in Joburg.
My struggles come now that obviously things will slow down again but I want to try stay motivated. With all my friends still up in Joburg it has been challenging to try get to a space where I'm comfortable to go out and do things on my own. So whether it's going for a hike or maybe even driving out to all the surrounding mountain areas. So that's my current focus of self improvement, becoming comfortable going out and finding adventure on my own. Hopefully it leads into travelling overseas on my own![]()
