Hey guys I'm keen on getting this headset and so far the only places selling them (that I can find anyway) are www.theonlinepcshop.co.za and www.audiowarehouse.co.za . The Online PC Shop has the headset for R500 cheaper than audiowarehouse, but I've not bought anything from these sites before and would like to get some okes to vouch for them, their reliability and service quality if possible.

I bought a pair of Sennheiser HD 215 headphones from Audiowarehouse back in September last year. Decent service from checkout to delivery (they took 2 days to deliver)

The PC 360 is arguably the best open acoustics gaming headset you can get. So if budget isn't a consideration, there isn't much that compares. Unless you're an audiophile...

I've read that this headset is basically the HD555 with a mic? So now I'm considering the HD558. But the big problem is where the hell can you actually get these locally? I'm mainly concerned with gaming, but I can get a desktop mic if it's going to save me R500. Anyone got recommendations? I might just fork it out for the PC360's on onlineshop, because it seems a pretty good price for a great headset that is at least available in the country.

FFS it's not even on onlineshop anymore for that great price :( Blergh. Just for additional information on my situation... I had Roccat Kaves which I digged, but the one side of the headphone has practically snapped off and is hanging by the wire... tried to save it multiple times with superglue but I give up.

If I'm not mistaken, the HD 558 headphones are an open back pair of headphones, this means you should take sound leak into serious consideration if you're looking to get them.

I'm not too worried about sound leakage since I'm usually alone in my room when I play :) Anyway, TakeAlot has the headphones so I'll be ordering the PC 360 headset from there. Thanks for the help okes :)

A bit off topic... but is anyone clued up on the X-fi CMSS3D options? I've read so much conflicting stuff online it'd be nice to get a more definitive answer in how to be use the setting. I've been using 5.1 Kaves so haven't really bothered with the setting.
