We here at Joystiq never play the console superiority game; play on the platform you like, man. Oh, but when it comes to Shift 2 Unleashed, it would appear the PC is the superior platform -- at least, in a getting things for free kind of way.

EA has announced that the Legends and Speedhunters packs, both $10 pieces of DLC on consoles, will be released free of charge on the PC. Beginning June 30, PC players can download both packs for free from EA's new digital distribution hub, Origin.com.

I might get this game now! But do you need to use the Origin service when purchasing the original game? Or can it be store bought?
 
now if only they fixed the handling in the game for keyboards and controllers ...

Being a Huge Japanese Tuner Car fan, Skylines in particular, I find it uber weird that they would have Every single GTR from the nissan stable, apart from the R33?
They got the 2000GT-R from '72
They got the R32 GT-R from '92 or 93
They got my all time favourite the R34 GT'R from 99 or 02
and the Nissan GTR
But no R33?
 
PC ...... Just when you loose faith on DLC
Now if only other titles could follow suit
