That's what I'm hoping. I honestly think gamers would be better off spending their hard-earned cash on Dead Space or RE5 if it's survival horror they're after. Anyway, I felt I justified my opinions sufficiently in the review so I won't harp on here.

Not necessarily, it just means you're not an emotional fanboi, you're a reasonable, level-headed fanboi with an opinion. :D

I can't be bothered with the low rating, the game is excellent and please if you have not played it, do go ahead and get yourself a copy of it, you won't be dissapointed!!
 
I will definitely get it at some stage. I've read some really mixed reviews and for a game to get such low scores as it got with this review, well then it has to be terrible, right?

The thing is that there are way too many people who actually enjoyed it for this new Silent Hill to get such a low score. In fact this is the lowest score I could find.

According to this review the graphics get a score of 5.5 which is quite poor. Though other reviews mentioned the graphics as one of the better things in Silent Hill Homecoming. The same can be said for sound. Gamespot rates it as a plus, yet here it gets only 6.5.

Well I can go on and on but I don't have the time to do this properly. It might be our opinions that the review is too harsh but our opinions are based on the fact that this review scored the game much lower than all other reviews.
 
Fair enough RustPuppet. :) I'll read the other reviews a bit later. I guess I just really want the game not to be bad. I think I might be a Silent Hill fanboi (or whatever it is called)!
 
Man I'm hating this game so very much right now. I make it out of the sewers with one pixel of health and immediately get mauled by dogs and die. Luckily I spawn at the start of the level again, this time with half health. I make it past the first set of dogs only to come out with a little health again, but guess what. More dogs... and I die. Try once more and die. Alt+F4 and I'm leaving this till my boiling blood cools down. Oh and I'll need to start from my last save which is all the way back in the sewers. I don't recall Silent Hill games being so unforgiving.
