Does anyone here use Simfy Africa?

I signed up for the 2 week trial in Oct. To do so though, you need to give through CC details to verify details. Fair enough, I obliged.

Before my 2 weeks were up, I mailed them and cancelled the subscription, as it it was not what I wanted or something I would really need. Imagine then my surprise when I got my CC bill and there was the R60 deducted.

I then proceed to log a ticket and after a few exchanges, they apologised and stated they would refund the amount. They stated they saw my intention to cancel, but not my confirmation. Really?

So today I go have a look and low and behold they have not only NOT refunded me, but the subscription is still active and they are still deducting funds! This is trully terrible and dishonest service. Surely to shit when someone mails you to cancel and you confirm you will refund, you would cancel the account?

So, I go to look again on their site on how to cancel and it says under FAQ, Go to My Simfy > Settings > Account > Delete Account. I'll give you 1 guess how effective that is. Nowhere do I have the option to delete or cancel my account.

SO if anyone has had similar experiences, any contact people or numbers would be greatly appreaciated.
 
Ask the bank to place a block on their account? Try change your payment to prepaid and then don't pay them?

Personally I enjoy the service and pay prepaid with 3 month vouchers
 
I had a membership and then cancelled it without an issue. I didn't have to pay to use the trial version however...

I switched over to grooveshark, much better than simfy!
