Sims 3 Leaked 2 Weeks before release.

It’s a common event, but one that games publishers can’t seem to stop from happening. A couple of weeks before it was set to see an official release EA’s The Sims 3 has started appearing for download on file-sharing networks.

The torrents providing the game have comments stating that it is a fully-working copy of the new game and the torrent description includes a warning not to go online with the game. EA has yet to comment officially on the leaked copy, but you can be sure they are trying to track down who did this and will prosecute them if found.

The Sims 3 does not contain the much-hated DRM included with games like Spore instead using the standard disc checking protection. Such protection or lack of more intrusive measures have nothing to do with this leak, however, as it has occurred before the release of the game so no consumers have got their hands on an official copy yet.

Why do people do this? Don't they see they are slowly killing this industry that we all love? They are a cancer on this industry.

u see it starts off as inside jobs  and eventually when it heads off to the big bad world it affects business and then brings down the gaming industry.... i wanna go and buy sims 3 or borrow it and play it a bit then give it back... (I get bored of continuous looping games) :p

I also want to give it a try but i'll pay for it. I hate pirates.

i usually enjoy Demos becoz i get a feel for the game before i decide to buy it... but with sims i dont think that would be possible anyway... thats why i say i'll probably borrow it from a friend or try it on their PC then go out and buy it should it meet my expectations  :)

I could download this...But im not going to...I could buy it when it gets released...But im not gonna do that either.

Mines already on pre-order, im not afraid to admit it but i actually enjoy the sims, nice time killer and making your sim pee in his pants is quiet funny. :D

Just remember that the profit from The Sims 3 might fund a game that you enjoy. If no money is made from The Sims 3, you'll end up with a shit game. And as mentioned in a bit-tech hands-on, it's an intellectual game. Guess you don't fall under that category...

It's a terrible, terrible game. I usually hate it when people do this crap, but with The Sims 3 I couldn't care less.
