Skyrim ENBSeries mod makes your game a stunner

Every time I've tried the ENBSeries stuff for FO3/FNV/Oblivion it just massacred the framerate, especially if you are already using HD texture packs which imho make more of a difference than ENB.
 
I have installed the latest version and am a bit dissapointed in some areas. Interiors now look great but exterior areas suffer from very "unnatural" lighting. Doorways close to fires become a very dark red, armor becomes too colorful and snow becomes to white, which seems to "fight" against the more subdued colors of the rest of the game.

There is a HDR only version on Skyrimnexus which seems to be a bit better. It enhances the sharpness and HDR of the game only without changing colors etc like the pallete versions do.

I wouldn't say steer clear completely. The HDR version does give a kind of crispness that the game seems to lack without too much of a performance hit. Although as M0nk said above, if you have HD texture packs, it's best to stick to the HD texture packs alone as the performance then does seem to tank a bit
