Meh I stopped playing with my lv36 Archer/Assassin

Is it really THAT bad?

I'm lvl 4 with my archer/thief type dude and I alternate between his bow & sword/dagger and I'm really struggling to kill things properly. The bow (even with 4pts in the talent tree) is not working too well, seeing as everyone's on top of you within seconds.

Would it be better for me to restart & play as a mage instead?

Also, how do you process leather to use at the smith if you have gathered pelts?

My level 3 khajiit hunter and basher:p I love using the mace and restoration bonus.

finding the game very awesome. finding the sound way to low :-/

Nah dude, im lvl 28 focusing mainly on one handed & bow and loving it. What you should do is put some points in sneak, there are some awesome sneak attack bonuses. I found that sneaking while using bow works better than trying to run backwards and shoot. Also get you one handed up so you can defend yourself when enemies get too close.

To get leather from pelts use the tanning rack at any blacksmiths.

Seems to me everyone goes with Assassin/Archer, so few Mages and Warriors. My warrior is bashing heads in like a pro with his two (Epic) Ebony Swords with +15 Fire damage. :D

I do it coz sneaking up behind burly warriors to slit their through for a massive 15X 25+10 damage it just awesome. Alternatively knocking a sentry off his tower with a well placed arrow is just awesome.

For this play through I am going stealth assassin, next one Battle-Mage or something.

I find it very difficult not to be a jack of all trades..:) hehe.. My khajiit asassin's sneak is 100, one-handed is 87, archery is 68, light armour is 70 and conjuration is 44 then 84 lock pick and 60 pickpocket...:) hehe.. I usually dual wield an ebony axe and my flawless blade of woe..:p :D

ah! that makes a ton more sense. Yeah I purchased a ton of +sneak pts from the one NPC, but I never thought of using sneak stance to attack/defend. @ lvl 4 my sneak is on 26 I think, lockpicking is also coming along nicely. Just wish I could find more arrows.

Do you use a 1H sword or daggers?

Depends, when in straight combat I have a glass sword that had a frost enchantment & a ancient nord war axe also with a frost enchantment. While sneaking I use a single elven dagger with a shock enchantment since I getting a massive attack bonus for backstabbing with any dagger. Alternatively I use my elven bow of soul trapping, all upgraded as far as my 70 smithing will allow.

LOL @ all the glitces in this game.
So I just got married and for some reason I had strangers at my wedding only 2 person was there that I knew from quest. Some random org that accepted me so I can trade in their villages.

Isengard yeah pretty epic looking armor wish we could have a color tints on armors(mods please give us this soon)
Busy working on my enchanting to get 2 enchants on armor/weapons, Must say I love the look of the glass armor.

Got elven armor with about 95% bow damage.
Glass bow 127 damage, have a bow you get later on following a certain quest line with 79damage still need to upgrade it to legendary.(damage indicated with perks in the archer tree)

Did anyone else see that you can wear a hood and helmet at the same time.

There was a post earlier about a mod for crafting arrows.

Here's the link.

I've pretty much given up on the PS3 version for now. The broken quest I got along with insane lag because of my save game size just got too much for me. Copied the PC version from a friend last night and started with a Breton Mage. Want to see if I can do magic only with as little melee as possible. If the patch fixes the lag I'll play with my Nord warrior on PS3 again, otherwise I'll just stick to the PC version. I have to say, PC is much better: smooth framerate, better visuals and of course the awesome mod community.

I'm playing on Xbox though. :o

I figured since my gfx card can't even handle bf3 in minimum and since I'll be putting 100+hrs into this game, I might as well do it from the comfort of my couch/bed with my controller.

Smart move.

Killing bandits normaly yields a fair bit of iron arrows. Alternatively any blacksmith should sell them.

Then the only other thing I can suggest is kill draugr and get some ancient nord arrows or take out some imperials and get yourself some steel arrows, they normally carry an average amount of 15 arrows each.

Most notable, I was on a mountain fighting a ghost of some sort (can't remember his name, lost my temper and rage quit..Haven't touched the game again) After fighting him for quite some time I got him down to his last bit of health. As I go for the killing blow, he blasts me off the mountain and dies, so I tumble to my death..main problem..It auto saved as I fell off the mountain..So what transpired after that, it would keep auto loading that part and drop me off the mountain.

While that really sucks, I don't really think it can be considered a bug.

I also hate how uncommon arrows are. I've been using Steel Arrows for most of the game, as I just can't find enough of the others. It sucks, as I'm wearing a full set of Elven Armor, with an Elven Bow and Elven Sword and Shield. It would be nice to have matching arrows. :p

Has anyone found any of the dragon priest masks? I found one yesterday (or was it saturday...) high armour value & it boosts Archery, Pickpocketing and something else.

This is the one I found.

They are upgradable so mine's armour rating is 50.

That's just one of the things that pissed me off yesterday xD There were plenty of really annoying bugs that got to me yesterday.
Im fine with it today, just needed to vent a little.
