Yes you can. 12000. You just have to do the Wolfskull cave mission for Falk Firebeard and then anothet mission for the Jarl. It's not worth it IMO though. The best house is the one in Windhelm (if the blood on the ice quest doesn't break like mine) or the one in Markarth (my personal favourite).

I checked all of them out since there is a bug on the PS3 you can exploit to "buy" them all (plus decorations) for free.

I think my blood on the ice is buggered as well coz i've completed it but the dude wont sell me the house, no option for it. :(
 
Quick question:
Empire or Stormcloaks?


Not which side it better, but rather which side you prefer. I'm leaning towards the Stormcloaks, coz i'm a Star Wars fan :P

Tried that, the chest is empty and I've travelled back and forth from the dungeon a couple of times but I still have no option to complete it. I hope the patch fixes it, but if it doesn't I don't mind too much. There are hundreds of other quests I can go do.

How does Storm Cloaks and Star Wars connect? The Empire thing? Its much deeper than that in Skyrim, the Empire isn't the problem, the Empire being the lapdogs of the Thalmor (SP) is.

Maybe try putting something in the chest yourself then select Take All...

Also report the broken quest to Bethesda so they can fix it.

I've been trying to get someone to give me the quest for the serial killer in Windhelm, but nothing.

No one has the quest, etc and I already know who it is because of my awesome need to burglarise every house & shop I can in order to search for those Stones of Berenziah.

Yep, Empire = Evil
And considering at the start, the Empire wanted to cut my head off.

Sigh I was hopeing for something diffrent.

Have gotten the lover stone since my sneaking hit 90 and that was about level 25 or something

EDIT: OMG my evil sword from whiterun just disapeared from my weapons rack :S
