'Sleeping Dogs Universe' Sequel Triad Wars in Development

United Front Games, developer of the wonderful Sleeping Dogs, has confirmed development of some sort of sequel "based in the Sleeping Dogs universe."

The developer addressed rumors of a trademark registration for Triad Wars, which is "something we've wanted to do for ages." Square-Enix will publish the follow up, which we'll learn more about in 2014.

Sleeping Dogs sold nearly 2 million copies, which the publisher quantified as a failure.

Well that's sad to hear. I thought Sleeping Dogs to be a brilliant game! A very submersive and compelling storyline. I would go as far to say that the dialogue is up there with GTA:V.

But otherwise nice to hear that there may be a sequel coming, hopefully they can put the same amount of quality into it as it's predecessor.

That is sad, I really enjoyed Sleeping Dogs, and I would definitely get a sequel.

I really enjoyed Sleeping Dogs. I hope they improve on it and resit the temptation of going backwards.

I just got this free with my graphics card, going to try it out as soon as I finish Saints Row the 3rd. Sounds like its pretty good.
