So I need a new TV...

So it looks like a mate of mine is selling her almost-new Samsung 40" R71 for a very reasonable R6k. Sweet.

Look out for a newly repaired 42" projection TV up for sale soon ;)
 
how much are you gonna sell it for mate?
I sold my 50inch bravia rear projection awhile ago, Got a 40 inch sony bravia full hd now but I can use another screen..lol!!

Yes, we sometimes take our machines into to Rama's to hook them up to the monster HD displays and enjoy full surround sound while parking off on the couch. Slummies can like to be SUCH a laid-back place, ek se.

Honestly, I just want it out of my house, I don't have space to fit two big screens in my apartment. You can take it as is (and see if you can get it repaired for cheaper than the R850 I was quoted), or I'll just tack that amount onto the selling price once it's fixed. I'm not after much though, a couple grand at most.

Mmmm..Strange sent 1 last night.
Anyway, I just wanted to know what brand it was and maybe a link to a site with specs ect.
 
It's a Philips 42", can't find this exact model online though.

The 40" samsung LCD at Game/HiFi Corp is 1080p with HDMI 1.3 and as I have purchased one myself I can really vouch for the quality. They retail for about R10000
