You start the fight by doing the plunge attack from the tower, then immediately start running to the opposite end. Once the Taurus catches up (and he will very quickly), run back to the other end and climb the tower again. Repeat the process one more time and you will be victorious


There are worse things waiting after the Taurus though. :P

I also managed to beat the tower knight that you see if you go down the stairs just before you go up to fight the demon. It was not easy, but now I have an item to upgrade my armor with. :D

Risk is he catches up with you while ur on the ladder. That knight is a bastard, will face him again when I get home.

@ Wlad; I'm wanderer also. It's totally a mindset. I played RAGE a bit but son swapped to Dark Souls. Good luck dude.
 
I think I will pass on this. Fucking hated demon souls. Ridiculously hard game.

Yeah. I think I just wasn't prepared to die enough. :p Will play again tonight if I can manage to get everybody else at home to leave me alone. I just switch to Resistance 3 when it pisses me off, awesome game as well.

I tried to kill the tutorial boss the first time you meet it lol, when you have like no equipment. Got my ass kicked badly :D.

Finally took the Taurus demon earlier tonight. He's not really THAT bad if you concentrate and get your timing right. I didn't really play much further though, only killed the first boar you meet and then went to kindle the bonfire and quit.

I want this. But XBL costs too much. And I don't think this is worth it without the online functions.
 
This game is so brutal! I made it as far as the Gargoyles last night and was then promptly dispatched when the second one decided to butt in... :(

I'm preparing for another couple of goes at them today. :)

Most fun I had in Demon's Souls was offline, but I love this sort of thing. Am actually considering playing offline on my second playthrough.

How did you kill him :eek:?! I tried but he freaking owns me in two hits! His first one breaks my guard and then his second kills me :(...

I HATE those guys :mad:!!!

I fought them dozens of times and I still could not kill them! The Drake Sword helps but not that much when you have both Gargoyles breathing fire on you at the same time while you stuck on the edge of the FUCKING ROOF :mad:!!

I killed them though, I was quite lucky. I cut off the first Gargoyle's tail, picked up the axe he drops, and then spam attacked him with my Drake Sword! I think I was lucky though as I think the first Gargoyle glitched somehow as he was jumping into the air at all, so that made it MUCH easier to kill him before the second one came.

Circle strafe, circle strafe, circle strafe. I lured him to a nice open area and just strafed around him until he paused, then just try to backstab him a few times and he's down. :)

LOL. I shot him in the back with my bow and arrow and ran away. :p I climbed up a ladder and he couldn't follow me so I just shot him in the back as he walks away. It took forever though since he keeps running at you and wandering around for a minute or two everytime you shoot him.

@Duke: How the hell do you kill the red dragon?

I did it! I beat the Gargoyles! I switched back to my knight character after trying the soldier and while he's a tad slower, I beat them on my second try. First bell rung! :D

Just run across the bridge the your shield drawn, and take the stairs down to the right, behind the soldiers. Remember to shoot off the dragons tail when you are under the bridge for a nice sword.

Aha! So that's how you do it? I heard you have to actually kill the dragon to get it. Hope I can use the sword, got high dexterity but low strength atm. By under the bridge do you mean that area at the just past the ladder from the bonfire? The one just before you get the three poison rats?

Yes that's the place. Stand of the right side of the bridge and shoot at the base of the dragons tail, after about 20-30 arrows it will sever and you will get the Drake Sword :).
