I love how these people make money off lazy people, I played Mafia Wars for a bit one a week a few months ago and I'm doing bloody well probably have a few trillion in the bank right now
 
I have a friend who used to play nothing but WoW, but the kind of guy who has all his friends over and plays all day and all night, skips sleep on the weekends, has a WoW circle for private raids and listened to Dragonforce all day every day.

All he plays now is Farmville.
 
I played it for a while, it was helluva addictive, but it got old very quickly. Those games lack the necessary depth to keep people interested for long.

They get their members mostly from suggestions or invites, they used facebook to its full potential by posting content to your wall, all your friends will see it and be annoyed by it.
 
I play FarmVille and quite enjoy it :) Fun random side-project.

It just gets a little monotonous harvesting, plowing and planting when your farm gets huge.

To remove the monotonous harvesting, whip out your credit card and buy a tracktor. This will allow you to gain an advantage over all your friends or fellow employees and save you time.

Wanna be the best? Spend a few more bucks and get yourself a Super Tracktor Mark 2 that does everything for you. But get ready to buy the Mark 4 tracktor as soon as your friends buy the Mark 3 one.

I don't consider stuff like FarmVille games, they exploit peoples boredom and shuts down their brains, turning them into zombies. Those zombies then fork out real world money to get the false sense of being alive making the evil "umbrella" like corporations rich.
Unfortunately the zombie disease spreads really fast and in this case it's already infected the world and doomed part of the gaming industry.


Good thing some gamers managed to quarantine themselves from this zombie disease by playing some real games.
 
This game affects productivity at my work. They spend the whole day on this and waste everyones time...

2 days later "Oh, the server was down so instead of reporting it and getting it fixed I played farmville for a day and a half" :mad:

If someone is idiotic enough to let themselves be turned into a credit-card-out-whipping "zombie," then they deserve to be exploited.

i agree... something like that just isnt worth spending money on..... i would say buying a full game with single and multiplayer capabilities and being able to play online is worth every cent but ja not something like that :rolleyes:
 
I have never played farmville and never want to. It just equals a big LOL for me, I mean come on "fertilizing" someone's crops...

Better yet. Block Facebook Completly on your Firewall, and save bandwith for those that need it.
Users will always find a way around it(all though most of them cant even Copy and paste), Not doing work, and finding out way's around the Security systems is "way" more fun than doing actual work.
But that is again why you have monitoring devices to see what every one does on the internet. So lets say someone "accedently" finds one of these proxy sites, Just block those sites(Whell this will depend on Security policy of your Network).
