Hi guys, I trust you all had a good weekend. ok as some of you know I have been having a hard time installing and playing Diablo 2, The advice that I got was to to into the properties of the .EXE file and play around with the compatabilitie setting, I did this and tried with each setting it still did not launch and now gives me this error:

FT_ Thunk(KERNEL32.D11)

After googling this error it seemed that I could download a KERNEL repair tool, so I did and the tool picked up 132 problems that needed fixing but I need to register for the softwere for the progra to correct the errors, has this happneded to anyone else, and is there a free Kernel replair tool you could recogmend.

This is really starting to tick me off cause all I want to do is play the freakend game

Sorry to post this in the gaming section but I suppose it is gaming related and I could not find a software section, and advice would be appriciated thanks

What are your exact specs? Which version of diablo are you trying to play? Are you going to use any mods? Give me as much info as you can. OS? 64 bit or 32 bit?

Windows 7 I Take?

Got LOD and it must be patched to 1.13 or else it won't work at all. Should be the same for diablo 2 only for patch 1.09 if I remember correctly.

Never had any probs with d2 and win7 - patch to latest version and use a crack like d2loader or something similar?

he's got a point. Thing to keep in mind is that it is build for older CPU's. Maybe try an emulator of sorts? Custom loader? There should be a forum online that can help you with these things.

There is also a patch to slow this down a notch, otherwise you will play this game in fast forward. I tried this out a few months ago on windows 7 64bit and had to do a couple of things to get the game stable. It's google time.
