Someone to start hosting LANS at PTA Showgrounds

Hi there. I always wanted to get someone to start hosting monthly LAN events at the PTA Showgrounds. They got a big enough hall for lets say 800 PCs at 1.5A per PC. So now just want to know who I can ask?

the Hall pricing is not bad at all. I can assure you that many people maybe be interested in such a event. Maybe we can get OC LAN to help with the hosting.
 
well It will not cost that much. If you a well sorted LAN like OC then you already have enough equipment. I heard that they are coming to JHB but they are doing it all wrong. they must go to the PTA showgrounds.
 
guys this can be a perfect business opportunity for us all... I even know a IT company which will most likely sponser some of the equipment
 
All I can say is, DONT DO IT!!

Funky Cow LAN use to be there a few years back. They went bankrupt. That area is not safe at all. And besides, its really far away from everyone. The only people that live there are the ones who cant afford a PC.

The only reason Funky Cow LAN did good at the start was because they had no competitors (except MPLD which was hosted at an even worse place, the inner city). There were no other LANs in PTA. When Spiderweb launched Funky Cow LAN lost most of their supporters and then when MPLD moved from the city to centurion, funky cow got no more support.
