Sony embraces 3D today

/Sigh
So unless you just bought a new HD tv, or have R20K laying around this means absolutely nothing to you. These companies want to impress me... make it so i can enjoy 3D on my current HD tv.

Atleast they making the effort to introduce the games unlike, just telling us that they going to do it and not getting to it.

I'vr played Pacific Rift in 3D, wasn't that amazing but maybe the first person shooters will be:) But then again don't have a 3D TV:(

I heard that 3D FPS's are a bit niggly when played in 3D. Well, regardless, I'm not interested in the 3D thing. It's too expensive, I think that developers don't have to rely on it to enhance gaming experience and it'll probably hurt me eyes anyway.

this really does not interest me i'll rather play a good psuedo 3d, 2.5d (whatever they wanna call current games) game than a bad 3d game.

Its not that expensive considering about 18 months or so ago, 32" Full HD tvs costed about R15K, the Samsung 40" 3D LED TVS cost around R22-24K which isn't that bad taking that into consideration. But if were to drop in price would you reconsider?

I have some reservations on this 3D technology. Because I have the same technology available on my PC I have learned that I only prefer RTS and RPG games in 3D. When it comes to action/adventure, racing and FPS games I actually DON'T want the 3D effect.
