Sony knew about security exploit for years

As a software developer, this is almost unbelievable. I wouldn't be able to work again if I was responsible for such a "noob" security flaw. It seems quite arrogant/naive on their part to assume the PS3 wouldn't be hacked, assuming it can always be fully trusted. You can NEVER trust the client (I seem to be saying this a lot with regards to Sony).

Seriously, they have some top notch developers at Sony, you can't tell me NO ONE came forward and brought this to their attention as a disaster waiting to happen.
