Sony not ready for a PS Vita price cut

sony should have had something more tablet like. considering tablets are the hot cakes these days. i dont think a price drop could have helped them significantly anyway.
 
Was saving up the money to buy a Vita and fervently awaited a price cut so I could snap it up sooner. Got sick of waiting so just bought a tablet instead.
 
R3000 for a handheld mobile gaming device is a bit much. Jeesh, I recently bough an Xbox NEW for R2500...makes you think....although the xbox is not mobile and "old" in the market by now, still...

On top of that, people willing to spend that kind of money on a gaming device for the most part have jobs...work most of the day...so time for "mobile gaming" is very limited. Unless you travel a lot.

Lastly, I will gain trust in the "PSP/VITA" platform again when they start releasing proper, dedicated games for the unit, and not ported PS3 games.
 
This is most unfortunate. I have my eye on this little guy, as it seems to pack a punch. But this is way too expensive. I already own an iPhone and 3DS, which kind of sorts me out on the mobile gaming front. Now, if it came out at the right price, I would at least consider buying one.
