Guess the price is reasonable compared to some of the other higher-end headsets. Might pick this up sometime in the near future.

Iv got the one just before this one, the Pulse, and the reason I got it was because all the reviews a read said it was better than the new one... The one i got was a bit more expensive at 1600 but im really happy with it!

Just read this new one doesnt even do the surround sound??? Only stereo???

Apparently the latest PS4 patched added 7.1 surround sound support for the headset.

PS4 Wireless Stereo Headset 2.0 will carry an RRP of R1,299

I guess that is half reasonable, but I already have gaming a PC gaming headset which I plug into my controller to play with.

Apparently the latest PS4 patched added 7.1 surround sound support for the headset.

Ya but it says in the article

Although this is a stereo headset, PS4 firmware update 1.60 brought with it support for 7.1 virtual surround sound.

So i think that means this headset doesnt do the surround sound, and thats why its R400 cheaper than the previous version...

I don't think this is the upgrade to the Pulse. I think it's the upgrade to Sony's PS3 stereo headset (which is around R1100 I think) which I've heard good things about:

The Pulse was the upgrade of this one, and this one and the pulse both have 7.1 surround sound... People complained that the first headset didnt have any Bass so they put a bass thing in the pulse that actually vibrates the headset...

Is that what the Xbox headset is going for? Also not bad if it's a good one. Either way though, I'd probably go third party. Hopefully can still use my Trittons

Yeah that's what I've seen so far. Can't use Trittons or any other headset on the Xbox one without a special adapter.

Its not gonna be that expensive and I reckon its well worth it if you want to use your own headset.
Better than dropping R1000 on the Xbox headset when you can spend R260 on the adapter and then use your own headies.

It seems a lot for an adapter, but ya, worth it if you have a lekker headset you want to use
