this is awesome news for those who still want a ps3 but still could not afford it at its current price point. Although we may never see a R1400 price here may be R2000 or R2200 which would make it a better buy then the Xbox arcade which retails in SA at the price point.

True but then MS will be forced to slash their prices in order to stay in the runnings. Soon it will uncapped for R140 all over again, except with consoles.

I dont think, MS can have a price cut that drastic, without a complete redesign making it cheaper to produce. But hell a console war price war would be good if the games got involved. I still think MS games are over priced for DVDS
