South African Licensing System *PUKE*

Sorry to bump an old thread.

Failed my first attempt at a driver's licence today.

I did the yard test perfectly - didn't need a second chance for anything. Also felt I was doing everything correctly when doing the road test.

When I went back inside the centre with the tester he sat down and took off several points from observations on that sheet of paper. I wasn't even in the car... wtf?

He started going on about how I don't do my observations correctly. I said to him that I did the 5 point check at every stop (which I really did do) and he then proceeded to ask "Do you think I'm blind?"

Only my first attempt and already I'm starting to feel very discouraged :(

I would've told him straight that he clearly is fscking blind... I told my examiner that dutchman like him are fsck ups that's how they end up in positions like that. he then proceeded to try and ask for a bribe and I proceeded to swear and threaten him for bribery to his superiors and I was passed :p. Mind you I did my test legitimately!! ;)

I only got my license on my 3rd try.

1 - got told after all the basics parallel incline take away hall parking and 3 point turn that i rolled my car "on one of them " he cant recall but i did and he was gonna let it slide but scared his boss might have seen.
2- Cloud burst - laydy wasnt to keen to stand out for long deducted over 300 points including for driving outside even though i never went out. Traffic dept made a new apointment for me 2 days later
3 - got it with less than 10 points deducted.

That is my story. I went for my license only after I turned 21 and was driving around with my car since 18 ( friends had licenses but not cars ) I can drive the trekker on the farm including a couple of our trucks, Ive even driven a lawnmower with no probs IM very adept at 4 wheelers but according to our road rules I cant drive.

K53 was designed by a Chiropractor im certain of it because looking around that much will not help you drive better but will only F*** your neck up.

Ps: My gf has no license and has been failed 3 times and she is a very good driver. Every time they tell her she "rolled" the car ... pathetic to be honest.
