I would say Piracy is a HUGE influence on that declining trend, me i buy less console games than Pc games

Wat?!? Piracy has been around for ages, you will need to provide a reason why its caused a decline recently.
I personally take these studies with a pinch of salt. Fairly certain it was only a few months ago there was an article saying its growing.

PC games are relatively cheaper than console games,so it's quite surprising(even though there is piracy around) why the PC gaming industry in dropping.

I don't think it's really dropping. These guys don't even consider services like Steam, which I think is growing quite significantly, and Valve doesn't release sales figures, so for al we know the PC gaming scene might be growing at a substantial rate.

That's a good point.I mean sales in graphics cards and gaming hardware is expensive for a reason,it's cause there is a big demand for it.

Last physical game I bought was back in 2009, yet my game library has grown at an average of 3 games per month since then.
Uplay, Origin and Steam libs are filling up nicely.

I didn't read the article but if you look at store bought games, yes, the market might be declining but if they take into account the amount of online purchases through PSN, Steam, etc. then I cannot see how this can be true. When I just look at my own purchases and those of the majority of my friends, then we are keeping the market going at a very steady pace. 
They must also take into account 2nd hand sales in stores like BT Games.

I'll say for me this is true. I have probably bought games on line than from any bricks n mortar shop. Anything not from Steam or Origin is bought from online shopping.

I'll just have to go buy more games then just to help prove them wrong. I buy a lot of games on Steam though. I'd rather get a game on Steam then pirate it. If I'm downloading it anyway, I'd rather want a game I can patch and that I know will work. With ISP's throttling like there are I can't afford to download a game twice. Also a lot of companies are claiming PC sales are declining. However, these are only prebuilt machines which are generally used for work. PC hardware sales are at all time highs. Plus go look at how many people are playing steam games each day and then tell me PC is smaller than console.
