South African Solid State Drive prices compared

So basically if you stick with LandmarkPC and RebelTech you should get the best deals? I do that already, yay! RebelTech seems to come out on top for price for most hardware, I've noticed.

If I was putting together a new PC in these dark days of expensive storage space I would get a 60GB SSD for Windows 7 + common/important programs while I use a 1TB drive for storage + programs. Most people do that already, I bet.

I'm looking forward to the days when SSDs are big, fast and reliable while only being a bit more expensive than their slower HDD brethren. We're still a long way from that.

As posted in the comments, wootware is probably the cheapest for all those drives
60GB R888
120GB R1399

The 120GB vertex 3 ( a lot quicker) is also R1581

Dont get me wrong SSD are amazing but i still think they are way too expensive... I say stick to hybrids or HDD, well at least if your poor like me...

It's still quite pricey. I bought my Kingston 128GB Hyper X in Dubai last year for just over a grand. It's realy worth it for the boot and load times.

I bought a 240gb agility3 a year ago, it's actually a bit over kill in terms of space, I'd say 120gb for system drive is best. 60gb is a bit on the small side.
