South Korean gamer kills mom, hangs self

So the 15 year old has been playing violent video games for say 3 years. Which would mean he started playing these when he was 12... now i dont know how age restrictions work in South Korea but 12 is a hell of a long way from 18... why was he playing these "violent" games in the first place?
 
Well I agree with you once again.

Age of Consent.
North Korea is 15
South Korea Is 18

So for him to play these violent games he would have had to be 18 where if he lived across the border 15 years was fine just a shame he already started at 12

Like we have discussed in multiple threads, its so easy to blame it on video games. What they should really be looking into is why was this minor playing these games and I can almost bet you he was playing it for long, maybe even obscene, numbers of hours.
 
They should change the headline to "South Korean child kills mom, hangs self" This is getting really irritating, I wonder what the percentage of game-related murders is, probably less than 0.0000001 % Oh yeah that shows a strong pattern, geez parents with those odds, better keep the kids away from games.
