Mr. Nice Guy
After struggling with Telkom for a long time I had to go the 3G route. Cell C started giving lots of problems since the beginning of the year so I had to make a different plan. Vodacom LTE. It's so nice to have fast internet again!

Lol faster than 97% of ZA 17 mbps download speed is SHAT fast

Very very low hehe. 3GB. Will only use it for browsing. :)

Eek

But what about Steam/online gaming?

Why did you give up your ADSL? Still the same old connection issues?

I wish uncapped was like that in south Africa :(

Edit: I wish any ADSL was like that here.

You mean... like this?

I know :( But it's mine now, so :D

Yeah, he says he was struggling with Telkom for a while, so I'm assuming it's because of the connection issues he had ages ago (and apparently still had). I thought that was resolved though.

Can't believe it was still going on.

Well, I lie. I totally CAN believe it.

I don't mind the slower browsing speed, I mind browsing for the entire month :D
So far my cap is 35gig, maybe I'll switch to uncapped soon. I think it may only be a problem for you because of you location. I have had close to zero problems with Afrihost, I have cap and line rental from them.

Then again: "Different courses for different horses."

Unfortunately I had to the 3G route because of Telkom giving me so many troubles a couple of years ago. It was such a struggle that I refuse to ever go back to them. I've got a Cell C Giga 200 to use for downloading. (200 gigs) and then the Vodacom LTE for browsing. Cell C doesn't work in my area in the evenings anymore because of congestion problems.

If I could go back to ADSL but without Telkom then I would take it any day. Of well um uncapped LTE but we all know that's not going to happen.

Lame :/

I can't believe it has been going on for so long and they haven't sorted it out. Stupid Telkom.

Well, Telkom isn't all bad. But it's pretty much luck of the draw. You either land in an area with good infrastructure and you'll be taken care of, or you land in an area that Telkom couldn't give a rat's ass about maintaining...

So... When are you and wife coming to visit? :D

I agree with JP'S really uncalled for

Dont mock us because of our shit providers. It isn't our fault :P

I was soooo not mocking anyone. Sympathising greatly :p

Hmmm see how quickly someone forgets their roots when they are spoilt like thus :D

Oh, I'll never forget what it was like to cherish every last kilobyte of bandwidth. It makes me appreciate being able to shrug off entire megabytes of bandwidth with ease :D
