Hey guys

I used to love spybot but i'm not so impressed with he new version ,what is everyone else using for spyware removal that's free.

Inb4 a bunch of jokes about visiting porn sites.

Try CCleaner, and simply use a decent anti-virus - most have spyware detection stuff built-in now. Microsoft's own MSE is a good free option.

I prefer Kaspersky AV. Its a good product with a small footprint that doesn't have a big impact on general system performance.
And isn't badly priced as well.

I agree with James, CCleaner is very handy!

+1 Yeah for spyware/malware found Malwarebytes to be the best in detecting them.
Ccleaner does not detect them.

You can run multiple anti-malware apps.

Malwarebytes is a very good one to use, but you can use it in conjunction with Spybot S&D, and Lavasoft Ad-Awarel, and any other anti-malware app.

Microsoft's Security Essentials is quite decent too, for something which is free.

Hi all upgraded to win8 and use the standard windows security essentials now called Windows firewall. I just keep it up to date. Works very well for me. It’s free, integrated with windows, and requires very little effort.
