SSD upgrade guide - prices, sizes

This is exactly what I need, I'm getting an SSD this month!

I'm looking at the Crucial MX100 256gb for R1,561 from Rebeltech

I really want one but still not willing to fork out that much.
Stingy I know. But that 256 for R1500 don't sound like a bad idea. Maybe end of the year.

I recently installed a Samsung 128GB SSD in my work PC. The difference in performance is incredible. It is a fresh install, so that'll help as well, but it has made my old clunker nice and snappy. I'm loving it so far. Had to boot onto my old drive the other day, and it was so painful waiting for the machine again, I should have done this ages ago. And it's cheaper than buying a whole new machine.

Yep, also got a Samsung in my office PC recently, and a OCZ in my laptop. They make a HUGE difference. Next, I need to get one for my home pc...

Lol yeah same here... I Put a Adata SP900 256GB in my work laptop... wowee... VS2013, VMM 2012, RDM and Outlook 2013 starts up in 5 seconds.
Before I used to wait quite a while... especially that VS and Outlook.
Go home and I'm sad all over again... every night lol.

I went real cheap and got a Seagate 128 gig SSD from Matrix Warehouse for R1200

Loving my laptops 9 second boot time on Windows 8.1

Edit: My bad its a Sandisk not Seagate

I'm in the same boat. Now, even the 60Gb on special from Esquire looks tempting! :(
