So no matter what i just cant seem to get into starwars watched it a few times but compared to star trek and stargate its not even close to the times I have watched them.

What do you mean by 'a few times'? Like, all 7 multiple times... Or did you get half way through episode I and give up multiple times? ^^

Star wars is awesome. So is Stargate. The only Star Trek I liked is the series with Janeway and 7 of 9 and the latest movie.
 
Star Wars for sure! There is something about it that just captures my imagination and lightsabers are the coolest weapons ever created :D

Most certainly! I remember my brother and I had some of those decently made toy lightsabers and choreographed a fight that we did outside one of the movie premiers.
 
i like both but only the new stuff i cant stand the old star treks or star wars movies, i only like the new trilogy of star trek and and the star wars movies even though i have seen all of them, i probably wont be able to get myself to watch the original 3 movies again. same applies to bond movies i grew up watching the pierce brosnan and craig ones so the older ones which i have all seen thanks to etv are just not my cup of tea tbh.
 
Speaking of Sci-fi, one of my favourite series is Farscape. An awesome show with brilliant, colourful characters.

I prefer Star Wars over Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica over both and Firefly as the overall winner.

Then Stargate was good, weirdly I loved Atlantis more. Farscape is also in my top 10
 
I still need to watch the Stargate series, especially with the new one on the way. I just don't have that much time :|

I watched another episode of Stargate Atlantis last night and there was a Czech Scientist. I never noticed the first time watching.

Hahahaha Dr Zalenka - He is one of my fav charaters in the show - you will see he starts getting more and more scenes
 
Both series are not something that can easily be compared to one other. Star Trek and Star Wars are from the space opera genre but, Star Wars leans into the Fantasy Sci-Fi a lot more than Stat Trek. Where as Star Trek is based more in Hard-Fi and Drama than the Good vs. Evil subplot that Star Wars uses. Star Trek has it's fair share of battles yet, it also has a plethora of episodes which do not.
 
I enjoy both but i'm more a Trekkie, I get the idea Star Wars fans are more nerds and Star Trek fans are more Geeks.

Show of hands which you like and which stereotype you might associate with.
