Star Wars Battlefront - Official Thread

For those of you that are actually playing the game, the Battle Of Jakku DLC is available for those that pre-ordered the game. It's about 1.5GB update with 2 new maps and a new mode as well.

The mode is called Turning Point, and the two maps are The Graveyard Of Giants and Goazan Badlands. Both these maps takes place on the planet Jakku, the setting for the major battle between the Rebels and the Empire that will be the setup of the new film.

Well I picked this up this weekend and gave it a run. I must say, I'm quite enjoying it. The sounds and graphical fidelity are top notch, though that alone doesn't make a game. Some of the game modes are a bit lackluster, but got together with some mates to play a few rounds of Cargo, and had a blast(er).

Though the game is fundamentally dumbed down to accommodate for the casual player, it's really apparent. I do feel I will get my monies worth, even if I spend 10 hours on a R360 purchase. Still, I would not have spent much more than this. The DLC's had better be good to keep me interested.

oh, and Star Wars! ^_^

For interests sake, here is the worldwide player count per device.

Why is the PS4 so high? The same thing with Hardline, PS4 amount was high too.

BeoTeK, I've played around 20 hours (13 of which online) and enjoying it. I had a slump during the middle, but back to enjoying it. I prefer the dropzone game type, but I'll also play Supremacy and Walker Assault.

Give Dropzone a go, its really fun, a capsule gets dropped and your team needs to keep it for a short while to get a point and unlock 3 pick ups.

I played alot with the RT-97C, but then played some single player to try out more weapons. Try that, it'll give you a way to try all the weapons without spending money on them. I learned to use the SE-14C (mostly for short distanced maps) but eventually switched over to the EE-3, its great for close to medium distances.

Dropzone maps I tend to stick with an Thermal Detonator and Jump Pack (or impact gren) and for Star Card, explosive Shot.

Bigger maps I use the same but replace the Jump Pack with an Ion Torpedo.

Also, when you hit level 15 I think, you can choose trait cards, I like the Scout one.

Lastly, the Thermal Imploder must be one of the coolest weapons in a game ever! I never get tired of seeing or even hearing it go off.
