Star Wars: The Old Republic not coming to SA

Sad, sad news. Skyrim better be brilliant so I can ignore this slap in the face during the holidays...

Online play via our wonderfully speedy adsl to the rest of the world, will be a bit of a problem....
Slash..., lag, lag, uuugghhh...

Problem is once GW2 is out (if ever), SWTOR will fall completely off my radar, forever. :(

Yay South Africa. I had to lol at this comment though:

"Hello everyone. We know that you have questions about this topic, and we hope to have more clarification for you all very soon. Regarding whether the game will block players from some regions by IP address: currently, there is no plan to block players by IP blocking. Playing on servers physically distant from your location might mean you experience some issues with latency."

Par for the course, mate. Par for the course. We always play on distant servers.

Will be playing this, getting my copy through amazon.com. Don't need a local release to get my game going.

...bit of a lame ass excuse citing over population. Rift had 100% global Launce and if Trion can then a big company like bioware can too. In fact since wow went smooth it was the first mmo in years to had a smooth as possible launch.

Cough *Bullsh1t* This really just seems like a really good way NOT to make money. Wow! It's just financially dumb! SA may not be the biggest gaming populous ever but we're pretty decent if you ask me! Anyway, I'm more excited for Guild Wars 2. The latency will be pretty wicked on this if they don't get local servers. (which we wont)

They are actually ignore quite a few nations not just SA. South America,Australasia,Asia and Africa are totally ignored in the initial launch as well as most of europe(only 20 nations made the cut). Even though they claimed the US is part of the initial launch they also forgot that porto rico is part of the US.

How is that different to any other mmorpg that we have ever played?? We have always played on eu servers. Don't see that changing any time soon.
