You ask how we will get early access I answered you...It should take me about a day, just leave the pc running while I am at work.
 
I am a huge Star Wars fan...but I just don't think this game is going to do well. I hope it is amazing tho...but theres always Guild Wars 2 if it fails! :-D

What makes you think that it won't do well? It's already broken EA's pre-order records, and people who have played it at the expos report that it's ridiculously good.

From what I can tell, it's an all-out win. The only thing really raining on anyone's parade is the pre-order region restrictions.

Electronic Arts said today its upcoming MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic is the fastest pre-ordered title in the company's history through the first five days.

The publisher did not provide an update on the game's release, however, only saying its targeted to launch in holiday 2011. Pre-orders for Star Wars: The Old Republic began last week.

EA's popular shooter, Battlefield 3, has seen pre-orders rise more than 10x Battlefield: Bad Company 2, the publisher said.

Update concerning the cc concerns. According to Stephen Read (SWTOR community manager) as long as your cc is currently being accepted to purchase items such as bioware points you should be fine for the subscription. Allison Berryman at the swtor forums also confirmed this.

So for now, we should be fine ordering the game from amazon and using our cc's to pay for subscription.:)

This seems to be the best bet for most of us. It sucks that they won't allow us to purchase digital keys instead of forking out extra cash for amazon to post us the actual box.

You could try g2play.net, but I'm not sure how secure or trustworthy the site is. So for now I'm just going to forget about the game, I'm certainly not going to jump through hoops just to play.
 
I really want the box for this here though, I've been waiting impatiently for 4 years. Just glad I have connections in UK to send it to me.
