Star Wars: The Old Republic

Port Elizabeth Client Help

Hi there

I'm very desperate to get my hands on the game but not keen to order from overseas... Is there anyone in Port Elizabeth that has the client? i will fetch it from you...

Thanks a lot please PM me if anyone is able to assist a fellow fan, will be much appreciated.

I was miff when i saw there was no empire guild as all my friends and i (around 10 of us) joined hidden beks. So I'll be making a guild later tonight and will post the details here tomorrow for those interested.

Absolutely loving this game, have a sith maurader 40 and a sith sorcerer 24

It's official. The South African Hidden Beks Empire guild, Imperial Knights, is up and running.

For an invite whisper Ulvenxai, Arrogance, Ritsuka, Almanti or Daxon. Alternatively, see you on the dark side :D

In the other thread :D

Have about 15 members so far and growing steadily :p 'tis the mirror/sister guild of the Republican Knights guild so both options are there for guys who want to roll alts.

I'm currently torn between my 40 Jedi and my 22 Sith.

Edit: Oh right, and/or whisper Loyalty (Arrogance's alt) since he's trying his hand at an Imperial Agent.

whatever happened to the guys that were goin to play empire as their mains?

*shrug* Don't ask me. I believe most of them went their own separate ways for any number of reasons (huge queues, no fixed confirmation of which guilds will be where, etc.)

There should be a couple on other servers but the MyG/MyBB crowd is mostly hanging out on the two guilds mentioned.

Republican Knights was up from day one. Imperial Knights has only been around for about four or five days. The increased server population caps resulted in it making more sense to start up the other guild :)

Well main/alt at this stage is a undefined one. I am loving my healing operative. Let's not split the SA people, lets make one guild on empire side, I implore you. Give it some thought.

A friend and I will likely be trying out the server tonight :P whether or not its republic or empire is still up in the air though xD

Well my mates and i created our guild called "The Galactic Council" for all interested empire side.

Message me ingame my nic is Katsu

Edit:

Oh and this is on hidden beks

Lothy, how many people do you have in your guild? We need to discuss a possible merger to strengthen our grouping/raiding numbers in SA playtime.

Was about to say the same thing :) Loving my Imp Agent to bits! Need to get another char up to get my Underworld Trading now though :S

Silence! I force choke you! :p

My sith assassin is lvl 45 on the Bloodworthy server. I rolled a trooper/commando on Nimal as well. Both very high pop pvp servers.

Agents are very underrated. Snipers are hectic in PVP and operatives are pretty cool as well, sneaking and dishing out some nice healing...I see they're already complaining about the OP stealth attacks that operatives do in pvp.

I respecced my assassin to tank and with my healer companion it's smooth sailing. I used to suffer against sages etc, but with force pull and all the interrupts I eat them for breakfast. Terribly long fights, but when they die I have >50% of my health pool remaining.

Hmmm You have certainly learned a bit then :) I'm just too set in my ways of the PvE side. I get into a PvP fight and crumble into a useless pool of gibbering pixels :P

How are you enjoying the PVP servers though ?

I don't think I could ever play on a PVE server. It adds a completely different and exhilarating element to the game.

When you compete in WarZones, you expect the other team to attack you on sight, but you also have support players and it's rarely a fair fight.

In world PvP, your heartrate actually gets going when you spot a member of the other faction somewhere in the open world. The uncertainty gets to you, you have no idea what gear he has, what spec he is or if he will even bother attacking you or not.

It can get annoying when you're continuously ganked when trying to quest, but revenge is a dish best served with a double-bladed lightsaber. My first contact with an opposing faction member was on Nar Shaddaa, killed the same sentinel a few times.

After that the first time I saw open world war was when a group of around 10 republic players tried to kill a world boss on Tatooine. A platoon of sith gathered via general chat and we drove the republic back. It made for awesome fights, despite being imbalanced due to lvl 50's in the mix.

On Hoth, 10 minutes after respeccing to tank, I came across a Sage while riding down a path. Before the sage could react, I force pulled her off her speeder & climbed into her.

The fun part is you never know how skilled the other player is or what skill tree they're running ... and it's nice to see how your class compares to another. Word of advice, if you see a sith assassin force pull someone towards him, run away. He's tank specced, it's the only tree that has the force pull ability.

I'm currently on Voss and I've been kept quite busy with world PvP near the shrine of healing. Mutual quest hub, tons of ownage.

I must admit, by far the most interesting fights are where you meet your shadow class. Same abilities, meaning it's all down to skill.

Don't you feel a little arb when you're questing and you see someone of the opposing faction, whom you are at war with, and you can't do anything to each other? What's the point of opposing factions then?

We are 9 playing at the moment, so you are welcome to join us let me know.

Would be cool to get a few more peeps, we very chilled and all rock on our own TS3 server

Cant wait to do endgame content and pvp

Ill love to join you guys but i cant really commit a lot. Ive got so many commitments on the competitive side of BF3 and LoL also so have to divide the time up. But ill like to be part of the SA community if you guys have space for some social players.
