Think it's a bit stupid that it still tried to install on my PC, without it finding I had SC2 on my PC already. Going to install Wings of Liberty now then Heart of the Swarm and see what happens, not going to Download 6GB's again.

It's all about everyone and their granny's uncle on the net playing today. Probably be like that for a while. I'm just guessing, 'cos I never got close to installing my Precious tonight. Holding it close to my chest was as close as I got. :(

I'm afraid that won't help, that 6GB download is mandatory. The only thing everyone's box copies are good for is the cdkey as the expansion doesn't install off the DVD ;)

f you already have Wings of Liberty installed on your computer, you do not need to install Heart of the Swarm from the game disk. Instead, just start up the StarCraft II launcher and allow it to optimize your game files and download any pending updates. For assistance with patching or optimization, see our support articles:

It's really no hassle as I am uncapped but it's such a F~ing pain to download 6gb's because the installer deleted my original folder.

so...

WARNING!

Do not install Heart of the swarm from the DVD. Simply register the CD Key with your battle.net account and download a small update. I have no clue why blizzard did not include the 6Gb's of data on the DVD. :/

hmm i logged in this morning and it was fine. only thing i had to do at 1am was reconfigure the game thats when i went to sleep woke up and logged in game and nothing was wrong looked epic. will see now when i get to my PC >< long as 2 days -.-'
 
how i see that thread people that never played SC in the last month are now forced to download the update...

the people that play starcraft 2 last month just put in the game code and started the game no issues. :/ idk will have to go and see now
 
Hey guys, how did the launch go yesterday? I was expecting all of the articles to be about SC2 yesterday, but there was nothing :confused:
 
So i ordered a copy of HOTS had ebucks and Kalahari was the cheapest however they do not allow you to pre-order with e-bucks. A huge fail btw, so I had to wait for the release to order the game which they said after purchase will take 11 days to arrive in Cape Town lets see as that seems a bit long.......

That's insane. I'd rather spend the ebucks on something else and then buy it cash. I know at some Engen garages you can put in fuel with ebucks, and you can also spend it at Makro - amongst other places.

use ebucks to buy voucher
use voucher on pre-order

...or go to Takealot and but it there. They allowed me to pre order the Collector's Edition using my eBucks. Takealot FTW! :cool:

Ok, so Berco phoned me earlier today, apologised for not delivering Yesterday, and now it seems like they're not going to deliver Today either. I'm not impressed.

I would call Kalahari direct - this is their problem they need to manage it.
