Starcraft 2

I'm busy finishing the single player campaign and after getting my ass kicked cause I didn't know anything about SC2, I've been staying away from multiplayer until I've gotten to know all the new units.

Just a quick question. All these upgrades, research and options that I choose in the SP campaign, do those apply to the multiplayer as well if you play as terran?

to learn stuff play the challenges as well, and don`t worry about being a noob, after 5 games the game puts you in the appropriate league

Na they don't hey, but I've always wanted a custom map that does just that :)
For balance purposes in competitive multiplayer they wouldn't allow it.

That's a pity. Would have been pretty cool if decisions you made in sp affected your mp campaign.

That would make the game very unbalanced, it would be very unfair towards Zerg and Protoss players since they can't get any of those upgrades.

Greetings fellow StarCraft II players! The past couple weeks have been amazing for the StarCraft II community. At the Dreamhack Open we saw the Swedish "Spoon Terran," Thorzain, triumph over GSL champion Polt in front of a hometown crowd in an amazing series. That same weekend, the Major League Gaming Spring Arena finals went to best of 7 games to see DongRaeGu victorious against MarineKing, avenging a loss in the Winter Championship. Looking ahead, Team Liquid StarLeague 4 was just announced here and is already getting a lot of excitement from the community. And finally, we have exciting news coming out of Korea as KeSPA and OnGameNet commit to all-new StarCraft II leagues, joining GomTV's GSL and GSTL to create an all-new StarCraft II eSports landscape. Add all of that to the 2012 Blizzard World Championship Series, and the StarCraft II community is already off to an epic 2012 in what could be the most exciting eSports year yet.
In the midst of all this great community news, we want to announce some of the exciting things we’re working on this year for StarCraft II. Here's a list of some of the features we are planning to release at or around the launch of Heart of the Swarm:

Multiplayer resume from replay
Global Play
Multilanguage support
Clan/group system
Unranked matchmaking
Multiplayer replay viewing

Started playing again this year got played protoss platinum I DID NOT BELONG THERE lol luckily went down to gold again which is better now I can win some matches :D

Why on earth do so many people play mono battles that can't play starcraft!?
Zealot dude has 10 zealots guarding the towers at the 10min mark... ???

Get a good teammate and play 2v2 until you both get to plat. Then you start to learn the game for what it really is. HDstarcraft and Huskystarcraft on youtube tend to cast ultra high level games, and that gets you to start thinking a league above

:)

Is there any good STARCRAFT 2 startegy guide available? I`ve been playing two years and still suck. Protoss.

There's a book called "The art of learning"..
Strats are a good place to start, but you have to work out something that suit you. I like playing aggressive against Protoss, so I use a Pro's ling muta strat that requires a lot of aggression.
Still working on my ZvT strat.. the current one is too risky. :p

Day[9] is a good place to start.
Do you have a practice partner?
