Starcraft 2

Some guys at work had the same issue. Had to clear out some txt file in your Document and it worked.
 
Dudes, the new ladder system is weird. Played ZvZ last night and braced for the worst (My ZvZ is bad).. the guy was Bronze league (Not bad though), but he had me on the ropes because I kept thinking something's not right here.

Apparently the ladder will now often pitch you against people who are a lot better and then a lot worse.

Does anyone else feel like this completely messes up your gameplay?

i think part of the reason is everyone busy with Diablo 3 or WoW or something else. It probably to get a bigger pool of gamers

Ah. Makes sense. But it's such a killjoy to expect an intense ZvZ and then just end up killing the dude with wave after wave of roaches. lol. A win is a win, I guess.
Day[9] even mentioned the change. But I'm not sure that this makes the game more fun...

I wouldn't go quite that far, but the game has held. There is still a massive multiplayer community, the single player is perfectly executed, and I've gotten my money's worth out of SC2 many times over.

R275 for >100 hours playtime?
It's a bargain.
 
I decided not to buy SC II and rather held out to purchase Diablo III, still don't know if it was the right decision, but I guess lots of people aren't sure. Maybe I'll buy HoTS when that comes out...

Jip. Worth every penny. :) I can't wait to see what the HOTS campaign and new achievements will bring.

lol. People complain about everything. Diablo is not my tipe of game, but my brother is very happy with his purchase.
I think people expected the same jump that SC2 had over SC1, but as far as I can tell D3 seems good.
(People also complained about Mass Effect 3. I'm still not done with it, and I love every moment so far. )

Having paid premium price way back when and all the myriad of hours I've played, this game has been awesome value. Almost as much as Civ IV.

Aah, so you decided to wait 2 years!!!!! :D

I bought SC2 for R650 on launch day, still play it, and I have had 2 years of online awesomeness with this game. Some people who held out for HOTS, because this is their race, I'm sorry but you're gonna kak off online, I know I still do :)

I bought the game on day one because I knew I was gonna spend 90% of the time multiplayer (where all races are available) vs 10% in single player.
 
Jip.. there's a lot more to playing on the ladder than what the Campaign teaches.

Like how rude people are when you played a good match. Frikken kids.
The dude 11pooled me last night, which I scouted nicely and held The Swarm of lings off with just 3 crawlers, a queen and some roaches. Which was well done seeing as I still droned like a mad man while under siege.

(Learned from the TSL Tournament how crucial crawler placement can be)

He just quit... just like that. No "gg" or "wp".. which I deserved for that performance. :(
