Starcraft II Midnight launches

So I'm sure everybody and their dog is aware that there are going to be a few midnight launches for starcraft 2 here in SA. Zaps is having one, and so are several BT games branches, even Kalahari is having some event in Cape Town.

With just over a day to go, who is going to attend some of these launches? What branch will you be going to?
 
its a tossup between zaps and BT games for me. definatly be attending one of them. Wheres the cloning vat when u need it?
 
I'll be attending the midnight launch at BT Games in Clearwater mall simply because they're a bit closer to home for me. I do think ZAPS will have the best one if you're looking for the "event" itself. I'm going to the midnight launch simply because I hate going to Clearwater mall during the day, the parking is flippen horrible during the day there thanks to the renovations - so getting my game at midnight is a LOT easier.
 
Yea clearwater is a real pain atm. wonder how busy its gonna be tomorrow night, that store is pretty small ;p
 
I spoke to the guys there over the weekend and asked them if it's going to be the same as when they had the God of War 3 Launch. We rocked up there at 23:45 and only got the game at 01:00. Waiting an extra hour for something that you've already stayed awake for is rather bad.

Apparently according to some security policies they're only allowed to have 5 people in the store at once. They ALSO seem to be handling Westgate's pre-orders which means people who bought from the Westgate store show up in Clearwater AND get helped before the Clearwater clients do - nice life hey?

You know, typing all of this makes me think twice about whether or now I'll be attending the launch event. If it wasn't for the fact that Clearwater is an absolute PIG hole at the moment, I would have picked up my copies tomorrow during lunch rather.

Sounds pretty retarded. I pre ordered mine from Westgate, but then changed it to Clearwater a few weeks ago when I saw that Westgate wasn't doing the midnight launch. Lets hope there are too many people that did the same...
 
Was thinking of going to Cavendish after 12 to BT games but work work work so will probably pick it up tomorrow so that i can really enjoy the game after work.
Who's gonna play this games after picking it up at 12?

I think I will skip the midnight launch, let the rush hour traffic get theirs tonight, and I will get mine first thing tomorrow morning.
 
Well BT Games has a good system, You go in at 10PM get an invoice number(I all ready paid for my CE) and at 12PM they'l call out your number and you can go in pick it up. Doesn't sound like there is a lot of room for error in that system.

I'll see what happens tonight. I'll be there and if it's a "westgate customers first" story again then I'll stop supporting BT Games as a whole - that's right - I'm THAT serious. YEAH!

I still remember the first time I first experienced Starcraft fever at a lan event at the local town show +-12 year ago.....

Okay so I attended the midnight launch at BT Games last night in Clearwater mall. They handled the people really well and there were a lot of them lol . I have to admit this was THE geekiest crowd I've ever seen. I've literally never seen so many virgin guys in one spot - the wife and I canned ourselves.
 
Lol, same at pavillion, went to look and listen instead :D only 4 people lol, and we cuda won a gaming hamper from them, AND 10% off their price AND free food! was like score!

oh and there was honeys :D
