Who are you talking to?
Then you should really try the new splinter cell black list![]()
i said it so why ask again?Crzwaco to you my friend it's fun and not that hard, and Hitman Absolution is also good
I cannot play stealth games. I tried it when playing dishonored, i only successfully sneaked once i upgraded that sneak kill that destroys the body.
No man Tydmors. One of the most common complaints about Dishonored was that playing stealth was actually too easy. If you're ever in Cape Town you should swing by and I'll teach you how stealth games work.![]()
It's one of my favorite game genres. There is really nothing as satisfying as successfully ghosting a mission in a stealth game.
Don't feel bad about Absolution, though. I also had a hellish time trying to sneak there. It's one game I'm not ashamed to say I couldn't finish.
how did you cope with the chaos engine then?deus Ex was sort of fun for stealth at first until I foudn out you could pull "HULK SMASH!" through walls and that was that.
Best was the old splinter cells (RIP Clancy). Thinking of trying out Absolution but I've missed all the hitman games thus far so I feel bad jumping in on it now. Dishonoured was just a blink slash fest. Stealth not required at all and when I tried to be stealthy I got bored of it
I LOVE stealth games. This year, I smashed Absolution (I'll admit, there were a few hairy sections where sneaking just wasn't an option) and I loved every minute of it. The most difficult thing in the game was actually this stupid don't click if you haven't finished the game and don't want spoilers
I intend to finish Dishonored and Metal Gear Solid HD Collection in the next couple of months.
No one has mentioned Deus Ex: HR yet. I found the stealth mechanic to be lacking when compared to other stealth games. Thoughts?
DX:HR was excellent, if you thought about running and gunning you were killed in a few moments, they definitely forced me to go stealth, stealth doesn't mean no kills mind you) killed a ton of people, so it was good, just not very polished, I'm hoping to replay director's cut sometime and hopefully the next instalment will be better finished
You have to use lots of stealth. I did find the stealth stuff clunky as compared to something like Hitman or MGS4. Still pretty cool, though.
what I hated about hitman was the focus mode, otherwise you'd get spotted easily...made it incredibly hard to sneak past some parts of the game on the professional levels..
I finished the Absolution twice one playing super stealthy and once as a straight up murderer. The game is surprisingly enough EASIER to play stealthily than it is to go guns blazing [Admittedly I played on Hard and not on Expert ]. The reason I found it easier is because killing racks up your instinct faster therefore making easier to kill again. Got to a point where you would go out of your way to trigger alerts just to get some instinct back. The only mission where stealth was ludicrously difficult was in Dexter industries.
DX:HR stealth was fun and was truly the better option. Combat was an honest challenge on higher diffs and made you truly appreciate your augmentations for higher stealth capabilities.
MGS4 combat was madness. Stealth was often used out of fear and not tactics. What I liked about it was that it made you aware at ALL times that no matter how badass Snake is he is still a mortal at the end of the day. But it is awesome nonetheless.
Blacklist allows you to play the game 3 different ways: Ghost (non-lethal stealth), Panther (lethal stealth) and Assault (tankie tank tank)I recently got Splinter Cell Blacklist and I am enjoying the stealth element quite a bit. I still believe that the best stealth games made were the old Thief series and I am looking forward to the new one coming.
I get bored of stealth sections in games that were not designed to be stealthy games. Some games just do not encourage stealth play yet require you to be stealthy. This is difficult as you've just come from a section where you maybe run and gunned your way through a mission and all the sudden you must put your stealth hat on and sneak. So in those scenarios, I get ticked off with the stealth mission and run and gun cause I know it is not an integral part of the game cause the game will not really penalize you for not playing stealthy.
So I really hope SC:Blacklist will be different and allow me to really be stealthy. I feel your pain.![]()
I'm definitely replaying DX:HR directors cut, due to 2 battery meters recharging, will go for true ghost run this time around...gonna be epic, hopefully a sequal is not far off
I dare you to go a full pacifist run![]()
