Steam Achievement bug fix

There has recently been a bug going around on steam where game achievements are not saved to your steam account (Example:if you aren't getting your TeamFortresss2 Achievements or milestone items)

If you have this bug then simply close steam and add -tcp to end of your steam shortcut.

this forces the game to sync steam,just make sure you open steam via the shortcut before opening the game.

Note:any achievements you did in-game that are not showing up on your steam account you will have to redo.
 
No problem,i forgot to add that when in TF2 you need to go into items>stats and click reset stats if you haven't done so before.
 
And your sure that works? so sad i had 28points as max in a life as a spy and 25 as a medic. dam pain will just have 2 do it again.
 
The "-tcp" fix only worked for me after interacting with the steam community in-game ( shift-tab). I sent a friend request and suddenly I could get achievements again.

I'm not sure what happened but try doing that before resetting your stats.
 
I have a question about TF2. I downloaded it but I never got the achievement list :(. If I look in game though, I have them.
If I do this reset will I get my achievement on the actual Steam app?
 
Lost a bunch of my achieves in TF2 a while back. Was really annoying as the game says you have the achieve but steam says you dont and you don't get the weapons in game.
 
Steam finnally fixed this. with the patch today stats are working. it did reset the stats but the achievements are continueing in some cases from were they were. e.g. I played 2 min and got the run 25 km with a scout.
