Steam and Gaming Mods

Hey guys

I found a couple mods for my Just Cause 2 and i was wondering if I am allowed to add mods to my game however I do not wanna get kicked from steam or anything because they think im using hax... Any ideas??

If they released modding tools for the game its allowed. check alien swarm.

If they did not release modding tools (MW2) then its not allowed.

Aslong as you don't play online on a VAC server, it should be fine.

You can modify any of your Steam games with the exception that if they are multiplayer games, don't try go into multiplayer with the mods, otherwise all is good.

awesome thanks guys thats all i needed to know as I found a couple of mods for JC2 and im keen to try them out just for fun

Another option is to copy the files and use one of the many stand alone cracks for steam games too.
