I've added some of my nominations to the article. I thought it might be fun to do here in the thread. Which games do you plan on nominating (or which would nominate if you could, since not everything is on Steam)?

As much as I want to be edgy, the original Half-Life probably aged the best of all the old games I loved.

Phase Edge (GIANT SHOUTY TEXT!)
STASIS (horror that actually horrifies - no jump scares here)

Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition, because of reasons

Papo & Yo, especially if you understand the metaphoric nature of the game and what it actually represents

Sid Meier's Civilization V, the ultimate time sink of a game

Borderlands 2, Handsome Jack just wanna be loved, aggashame

Game Within A Game
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, I hate Gwent, but I cannot deny it's impact on the world. It's a really impressive achievement

Factorio, I got this while if was still in alpha, saw it being played by a YouTuber, way before it's Steam release.

Best Use Of A Farm Animal
Stardew Valley, those cows are adorable!!

We Didn’t Think Of Everything
My Award is called the "Out Of This World" Award, and it goes to Kerbal Space Program, because it's literally about getting out of this world, and it's just out of this world amazing. I'll stop saying that now.
 
Test of Time
Audiosurf. Why it's only the most addictive game ever. Unfortunately Audiosurf 2 just never felt as good as the original.

The Walking Dead. It had such an impact on me that I played it twice.

Sid Meier's Civilization® IV. More so than Civ 5 unfortunately.

Bioshock Infinite. One of the best games I ever played. It blew my mind and left me wanting more.

Sif, the Great Grey Wolf in Dark Souls. It's quite sad when you think about it poor Sif.

GTA V. I was so surprised when I could play tennis in it. :D

Downfall. Okay um it hasn't become hugely popular but it's amazing.

Ha, I also picked SS2 before I even saw the article! :D Otherwise I had a tough time selecting some of these, particularly the villain award because I couldn't think of anything. So I jokingly thought, “Reapers could sure use a hug!” :p
