Spotted by r/steam and r/games, the Steam Global Traffic Map's newly-implemented feature lets you look at a list of average download rates for each country, grouped by service providers.

Majority of people have slow ( 2mb ADSL) lines still, so I'm not surprised by those stats really

Sadly with eskom's current situation I doubt that there's a solution for quite a while.

They did that in the middle of last year if im not mistaken

Just remember to choose your closest steam server ( mweb / Saix ) to squeeze a little more out your current download speeds

But yes, i have a friend from Sweden in my guild that has a 1gbps uncapped up and down fiber to his house.. makes me so sad

I must say my Telkom line has been drastically slower over the past week.
Living in the Southern Suburbs, cape town.
