Hey guys. I've actually forgotten about this feature a bit, recently used the beta again for streaming.
Thinking back now, the way I felt about STEAM when it was initially launched, I never thought I would grow to like STEAM. Its an awesome platform. On a side note, if I had the money, I see you can even rent a slightly cut down version of AutoDesks Maya.

Saw this just now, they are selling (some are free) game sound tracks. Savings until the 1st of Oct.

After months of testing, Steam Music will today exit its beta phase to become a fully-grown application. Wave your hankies, beta testers, because during the new Steam Client Update (which you should have access to by now), the functionality will be an official fixture, though Valve promises it will continue to receive and address feedback from users.

To mark the ocassion, Valve is offering soundtracks to many of its most popular games for free, while the actual games themselves will get 75 per cent discounts until October 1. These include Portal, Half-Life 2 and more, so if for some ridiculous reason you don't already own these titles hurry up.

One question though, with some games, its esay to get the sound track, Quake 1 is stored in the PAK files, Quake 2 strangely enough on the CD like a normal CD. (for performance?)

So some games, if not most, you can somehow get the music out. Is there some legal issue with that? You've already paid for the game, which includes the music. So why pay for the music again? Not trying to find fault with this, but just wondering out loud.
