Steam Sale - Winter 2014 - Your purchases ?

I played Alan Wake on the XBox 360 and enjoyed it a lot. I don't think it's everyone's cup of tea though. Currently playing American Nightmare and it's a lot more of a shooting game compared to the first but still fun in its own way.

Awe dang, Shovel Knight, been wanting that for ages. Heard such good things. Anyone have experience with this?

Also a flash sale on Nidhogg. Very tempting.

what's everyone's total spend looking like? i did a quick check and mine was sitting at around R620 bucks. still, got plenty games for the price of a single new AAA title, so can't complain :)

Finally caved and got Shadowrun Dragonfall. Been very torn about getting this or waiting for a Divinity drop, but at $5.99 this seems like a pretty safe bet :)

Dude...
You some need self control :p That's no point buying games if you aren't going to play them soon. You're wasting cash, they'll just be cheaper in the next sale.

I've still spent nothing yet. Bought that Batman DLC and Brothers: ToTS using trading card money. Then used all my Playfire credit buying the new Wolfenstein and the Bioshock Infinite Season Pass. Playfire is so dead now, I miss the days of making a massive pile of cash.

I still want to get Metal Gear Rising Revengeance, hopefully the 80% off deal comes back. Oh, I must buy a game or two to giveaway. That, plus the games I've won will keep me busy till the next sale, probably longer.

Mine is about $89 so just over R1000! Shit! Had no idea it was THAT much! Although about $33 was for 2 gift copies of Grim Dawn I bought and I got a bunch of games for the rest. All in all I got: Dark Souls 2, Lords of the Fallen + All DLC, Tales from the Borderlands, Postal 2 4-pack, E.Y.E Divine Cybermancy, LEGO Marvel Superheroes (from GMG) and Ghostbusters. I doubt I'll buy anything else, but I'm gonna try to avoid the store page just in case I see something else.

So far just about $7, so I'm quite proud of myself.

Only bought Prison Architect and Postal 2.

A couple of deals still tempting me, but I most certainly don't suffer from a lack of games at the moment.

My damage so far:
$8.48 Company of Heroes 2 - Starter Camo Bundle, Company of Heroes 2 - US Forces
$1.39 Just Cause 2 DLC Collection
$2.09 Hitman Absolution DLC Collection
$0.99 Defcon
$2.49 Far Cry 2
$2.99 Aliens: Colonial Marines (Gifted)
$3.99 Shadow Warrior (Gifted)
$2.49 R.U.S.E.
$4.03 Red Faction Guerrilla, Red Faction: Armageddon - Path to War DLC
$28.94 <--- this was all trading card money

So technically I only bought:
2 x $59.99 Far Cry 4 Cause the damn sale was 2 hours late.

My total damage is: $238

$224.99 MODO Indie
$1.34 Monaco (as a gift for SS)
$6.24 The Wolf Among Us
$0.29 Binding of Isaac Wrath of the Lamb
$4.99 Outlast
$1.49 Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons (as a gift for Steamgifts)

However I bought MODO just before the sale started because I didn't think its sale would continue so I got a crapload of cards for it that I sold and so all the other games that I bought were from my wallet that I got from card sales.

holy heck, how do u guys get so much money from trading cards ? i get like 6-8 cents :-(

When I bought MODO I got a lot of cards. Not sure how many. This was on the last day before the sales. I sold of those cards for about 25c each. So that ended up to be quite a bit. I also kept most of my cards throughout the year and kept them to sell them now. I did have some money in my wallet from earlier in the year though.

2 accounts with loads of games + SAM.

Some money came from gem sales, some from card sales. Holiday cards sold for about 60c plus at the start.
